Overview

The candidate assumes the role of a generic Watch Manager in fictitious Rossbridge Fire & Rescue Service. Recent data and feedback suggests that there is inconsistency in Watch management, and that opportunities are being missed. A new initiative is set to be rolled out. The candidate must discuss concerns and priorities for the Watch, as well as suggesting steps to achieve these and solutions to ensure progress is sustained.

Telephone Roleplay

The role-play requires the candidate to read through a scenario and make notes before conducting a telephone call to discuss the issues.

The candidate assumes the role of a generic Watch Manager in fictitious Rossbridge FRS. An email from a long-serving Crew Manager has been received regarding increased tension on the Watch due to a number of issues. The candidate must address these areas of concern and also explore any wider problems they identify. They will also be expected to discuss performance based on data supplied, and suggest initial steps and priorities for their new role.
