After they have completed each of the 2 exercises, we ask candidates to complete a survey for us.
There are several questions about their experience and we ask for their ratings in relation to interest level, challenge, relevance, applicability to role, use of the CPG system. This feedback helps us keep an eye on what we are doing right and where we can improve, and is crucial to making sure we are meeting the candidates’, as well as the organisation’s, needs.

What do candidates think of the CPG?
“I think the exercise was challenging due to the amount of supporting documents to read but i did enjoy it. I feel the content was realistic in a modern FRS and the comments made by the staff reflected what it would (and is) actually like trying to promote a message and demonstrate a commitment to an agenda which may be seen to be ‘outside’ the normal remit of a FRS.”
“I thought the exercise was very realistic and gave me the opportunity to prove that i was able to identify strategic issues internally and externally to my organisation and was a very enjoyable 75 minutes.”
“Really good exercise which kind of interlinks. Gets you to review reports but also use that info in your response.”
“The content was very relevant and certainly topical for FRS at the moment.”
What do Candidates think of the CPG system?
“The system was set out just like an office base, and therefore able to replicate a true scenario for assessment.”
“Straightforward, user-friendly system. No issues.”
“Very user friendly.”
